Sunil Rampersad is an artist who's worked in the field of design for over 15 years, and who's design work has won competitions. He's been a part of Type Thursday LA since it's beginning, and a member of the Modern Committee (a group that seeks to preserve Los Angeles' Mid-Century Modern heritage) for almost 20 years.
He's done numerous panel events at the annual SIGGRAPH conference (the largest conference on computer graphics in the world) on topics ranging from the Animation of UPA, to a discussion of the state of VR.
The person who organizes things - who makes them happen - he's brought this ability to the many projects he's worked on either solely or with others, such as; the Artivist Film Festival, The Caribbean Film Festival, and working as a freelance designer. And it's a quality he now brings to his newest position, Chair of the LA ACM SIGGRAPH chapter.
